TV ads made by Tomato caused a minor revolution in the world of advertising. They stand out of all conventions established in the industry. Due to the group´s unconventional approach and many highly appraised non-commercial projects, some of their products may be considered art. Tomato, however, refuse such categorizing calling what they do simply work.
With the money the group makes on their commercial projects, Tomato finances its non-commercial activities and projects of its individual members. The concern is that the group and its members maintain their integrity and go on with their work, whether they sell it to corporations or show it in art galleries is not quite what matters to them.
