Call it what you like: poetry and performance

Tomáš Míka, Bohdan Bláhovec, Pavel Novotný, Petr Štengl, Fantasía
Although European poetry is traditionally associated with textual media, with the amplification of the meaning of the written word for an audience and the use of voice, body, technology etc. we are witnessing the development of elements that tend to conserve the text. Performance poetry is a very interesting type of authorial interpretation; sometimes it may even be the source of the work (e.g. slam poetry). The presentation of poetry doesn’t have to be a boring reading to a solemn audience – it can range from the ‘total’ interaction of all present to an acoustic-physical artefact in a space.

Devised and presented by Ondřej Buddeus.

Those working in the fine arts who make paintings are called artists. Otherwise in the backwaters and marshlands the rest of the artists are lost in search of new and ever surprising methods. They must be earthbound, casual, political, managerial,…
An unsuccessful co-production An unsuccessful co-production
If you know your way around, you might discover that every month and maybe even every week you stand the chance to receive money for your cultural project. Successful applicants have enough money, average applicants have enough to keep their mouths shut, and the unsuccessful ones are kept in check by the chance that they might get lucky in the future. One natural result has been the emergence of…
